These eerie and fascinating plants were one of the reasons why I wanted to explore this concept of a poison garden for Halloween this year but also in general. Just like Devil’s Eyes, another product launching in this year’s collection, I found myself absolutely enamored by this plant’s look, spiritual presence & the fact that it grows in the dark.
We too grow in the dark as much as we do in the light.
This scent and intention around Ghost Flower brings attention to who we are in the shadows. Inviting us to explore who we are when no one is watching, when no one is validating our behaviors, choices or interests.
Who are we in the dark? What do you learn when you retreat and reflect? Who are you in the inbetween moments of the day? How can we ease and soften our relationship with who we are, who we’ve been, and where we’re going next?
This plant is amazing. Its actually a parasite that lacks chlorophyll and thus takes nutrients from the fungi around it to nourish itself. I invite you to ask yourself, what nourishes you?
Magical: This plant symbolizes resilience and healing. She represents spiritual presence and a sense of freedom to be who we are.
Medicinal: Ghost Flowers, also known as Indian Pipe Flower, has been used for a long time for easing pain both physical and emotional.
Her fragrance is warm and comforting, sensual, mesmerizing, milky, unusual and yet also familiar.
